On behalf of the BCMA Council, it is with regret that I announce the departure of long time BCMA Executive Director Jim Harding. Effective January 24, Jim is no longer employed with the organization.
Jim’s accomplishments with BCMA have been significant, including coordinating countless successful conferences, sector advocacy and setting up province-wide partnerships like the Heritage Tourism Alliance. We wish Jim the best of luck in his future endeavours.
Shelley Gauthier will be managing the office and administration; she is a long-term employee of the BCMA, familiar to many of you. Council is exploring all options regarding leadership of the organization and the priority is to ensure the BCMA remains strong and sustainable well into the future.
If you have questions or concerns, please let me know. I can be reached at president at bcma.ca<mailto:president at bcma.ca> or by phone at (250)352-8200<tel:%28250%29352-8200>.
