[BCMA] SMOC - Silent Auction Coordinator

SMOC will be hosting an unforgettable evening of food, fashion, and fantasy at their grand Bal Masqué Gala Fundraiser on October 24, 2013.
An important aspect of this fundraising event is the Silent Auction table, replete with unique and collectible items. The proceeds of the auction will go to SMOC's Museum Development Fund.
Description: 

This is a leadership role in which the successful candidate will be responsible for the Silent Auction event from start to finish. 

The proceeds from the Silent Auction will form part of SMOC's Museum Development Fund.

Responsibilities: 
This coordinator will be contacting local businesses, canvassing for donation prizes to be used at the Bal Masque Gala Fundraiser silent auction taking place on October 24, 2013. 

This position requires securing the items, arranging for their pick-up or delivery and attending the event to set-up and display the items. Database management is crucial for tracking donors, gifts,  values, contact information, and assigning Inventory Numbers.

This role will also be responsible for delivering final database information to the Treasurer and the Secretary for receipting and thank-you letters.
