[BCMA] Media players and digital video Camera

We have had a number of video kiosks installed  at the Quesnel Museum, operated by a media player.    After 4 or 5 years of operation they stopped functioning and we had to replace the media players.
The  most recent ones  we have purchased have not performed well in comparison to the older versions ( which are no longer available).    I am just wondering if anyone has a player that they are  happy with and would recommend.  ( I believe we have spent $250 - 300 in the past).

We also wish to purchase a digital video camera , primarily for use in our oral history program in the $ 300 - $600  price range.  Again does anyone have any recommendations.
