Skookum Sound System with
The Black-Out Artists
Indigenous Hip Hop Night

In support of current KAG exhibition Beat Nation: Art, Hip Hop and Aboriginal Culture, Indigenous audio visual crew Skookum Sound System will perform a set of ground breaking electronic beats and live visuals at the Kamloops Yacht Club. Skookum shows are a multimedia trip, fusing song, dance, maximalism, moving images, mashups, ReMiX and the deadly boomBap of the H'lulu Drum. Hailing from the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver, this team brings an entirely fresh sound to Kamloops in a not-to-be-missed free, all ages evening.

Local hip hop/blues band The Black-Out Artists will open. Originally starting out as a Hip-Hop/Blues band, they then adopted a unique sound by adding country to the picture. Mr. E, Mama 'S',YoGi, Ryeoptikz/R.i.p, Levi d and the capital G along with an expanding range of fans have watched The Black-Out Artists blossom musically, creating a new twist on all three genres of sound.
