Retail Manager 



The Last Spike Gift Shop/Revelstoke Railway Museum



The Revelstoke Heritage Railway Society is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to serve as Retail Manager for our busy Last Spike gift shop at Craigellachie (30 minutes West of Revelstoke, 20 minutes East of Sicamous) and the gift shop located at the Revelstoke Railway Museum. 



Overseeing both gift store locations the Retail Manager is responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and hands-on tasks including: managing all gift store operations, ordering all store merchandise and supplies, managing and directing seasonal staff, preparing staff schedule, managing cash, pos system, preparing daily reconciliation and financial reports, and other duties as required.



The position requires 2+ years of retail management experience, including staff supervision, retail sales,and superior customer service and organizational abilities. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and team management skills, a keen sense of customer satisfaction, enthusiasm to enhance our visitor experience, and an ability to work independently. Familiarity with heritage or tourism operations and interest in railroad and BC history is an asset. A valid BC driver’s license, access to a reliable motor vehicle, criminal record check, and willingness to work holidays, weekends and evenings are also required. Plus the ability to lift, move and carry up to 20 kgs.



This is a permanent seasonal position (April through October) at the Last Spike in Craigellachie and five months part time to full time as required in the off-season (November through March) at the Revelstoke Railway Museum.
