April Fools Scavenger Hunt Weekend at the Royal BC Museum

Victoria, BC - Airplane in the coal mine? Cat food tins in the fish cannery? Thirty unusual objects will be in odd places at the Royal BC Museum from Friday March 29 to Monday April 1 in honour of April Fools' Day. Some of the items are obviously out of place, but others will be much harder to figure out. Test your observation skills with this scavenger hunt, included with museum admission or membership. Foolish fun locations will be mapped on a form available from the museum box office, or look for markers in the style of a jester's hat. Having trouble finding a particular out-of-place item? Just send a tweet with your question to @RoyalBCMuseum #museumfool.

The popular April Fools Scavenger Hunt is not the only reason to visit the Royal BC Museum on the long weekend. Wildlife Photographer of the Year, the stunning feature exhibition from London's Natural History Museum, ends April 1. The wonders of nature - plants, animals and wild places - are captured through the lenses of prize-winning photographers from around the world. This exhibition showcases the best 100 photographs chosen from more than 48,000 entries and 98 countries in the annual competition organized by the Natural History Museum (UK) and BBC Wildlife Magazine.
