Canadian Association for Sport Heritage Conference Brings Delegates from
Seven Provinces in Canada together to "Share Ideas in Sport Heritage".
The Canadian Association for Sport Heritage (CASH) is holding its annual
conference at Canada's Sports Hall of Fame (located at Canada Olympic Park)
in Calgary, Alberta from May 8-10th, 2013. The three day conference is
bringing together over 40 delegates and speakers to share ideas in sport
heritage.
Session topics will include six major themes including:
. connecting with communities to increase revenues,
. a presentation on the Alberta Sports History Project,
. expanding education programs around the province of Nova Scotia,
. how art plays a part in museum exhibits,
. the Survival guide for two major building projects (BC Sports Hall
of Fame and Museum and Canada's Sports Hall of Fame) and
. an interactive virtual education program with students from a
Canadian school and a sport celebrity.
The conference will also include a bus trip to the Alberta Sports Hall of
Fame and Museum located in Red Deer, Alberta where delegates will tour the
museum and meet Honoured Members Ken Newans, Jack Neumann, and Pat
Bawtinheimer.
Canadian Association for Sport Heritage President, Janice Smith says "We are
honoured to organize this conference and bring together so many
representatives from the national sport community. The delegates will be
able to share with each other the many projects that they have managed over
the past year and meet and collaborate with many new members".
The Canadian Association for Sport Heritage wishes to recognize and thank
