We applied for 2 this year and have been approved for 1.  Last year we applied for 2 and were denied.

We applied for 1 Canada Summer Jobs position and it was denied. It has been approved in previous year. Still waiting to hear about 2 YWC positions for this summer.

We applied for 2 positions and were denied both. I have approached our local MP's office but have not heard back yet. This happened to us  a couple of years ago and the MP was able to help us out.

We had been cut completely as well but fortunately, our MP went to bat for us and we got 2 of the 3 positions we had applied for.  The person we are dealing with at Canada Summer Jobs is unhelpfully located in Calgary and doesn't seem to know anything about much of anything.  I haven't been able to find out if there is a major unannounced cut this year but that's what I suspect.
