A Royal Name for a Royal Bee...Part 2

Kelowna Museums announces Queen Bee names to vote for.

The Kelowna Museums would like to thank to all those who submitted name suggestions for our Queen Bee; we received over 200 names! Our staff carefully whittled that list down to these three finalists:


Queen Beelizabeth

Queen Honeydew

Queen Miela


Now we need you to help us pick a winner!  There are three easy ways to do this:

 *   Come to the BC Orchard Industry Museum (located in the Laurel Packinghouse)and fill out a ballot.
 *   Go to the Parkinson Rec. Centre and fill out a ballot
 *   Private message us your choice on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/Kelowna.Museums.Society
 *   Email your vote to lcanning at kelownamuseums.ca

Then on Saturday, June 1st, 2013, join us at the BC Orchard Industry Museum when we announce the winner at a special naming ceremony. The naming ceremony will begin at 11:00 am and there will be crafts and activities available until 2:00 pm.

The deadline for voting is Thursday, May 30th, 2013 at 5:00 pm.



What:          Queen Bee Naming Ceremony

When:         Saturday, June 1st, 2013

Time:           11:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Where:        BC Orchard Industry Museum
