Art Gallery of Greater Victoria - Job Opportunity

 

Educator, Tours & Outreach (Full time, 1 year term)

 

The Educator, Tours & Outreach will develop and administer tours and
outreach programs related to exhibitions and other educational
initiatives to enrich and enhance the Gallery experience. Reporting to
the Chief Curator, this challenging position includes research, design
and implementation of programs for children and adults, including but
not limited to Docents' Program & Tours; Gallery in the Schools; New
Extreme; and Open Door Access to Art.  Other duties include budget
management and assistance with program promotion.

 

The candidate will have an MA in arts or education or equivalent and
experience with program design. The position requires extensive
experience with recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision of
volunteers and contract staff; excellent written and oral communication;
and strength in managing multiple concurrent projects.  Individual's own
car is an asset.
