[BCMA] Museum Benchmarking?

Hi Chris...

I know that when I headed the visitor experience departments at the Royal
Alberta Museum and the Royal BC Museum we participated in an annual survey
conducted by the Council for Business and the Arts in Canada. In this
survey, we reported sources of revenue and attendance. The Report - we
always received a printed report of the results that was very interesting
to read.

This organisation - I believe - is now called Business for the Arts. I see
from their web site that they report survey results in a summary form here:
http://www.businessforthearts.org/research/reports-publications/#VAS
You have to scroll down to find the Museum and Galleries results. However,
it's at a very high level. And the last survey is 3 or so years old.

You might try contacting this organisation to see if you can get the
printed detailed report of the latest survey.
