Sphinxes Without Secrets:  Women Performance Artists Speak Out

In conjunction with the current exhibition, VERB WOMAN: the wall is in my head/ a dance of forgetting by Margaret Dragu, Richmond Art Gallery presents a film screening of: SPHINXES WITHOUT SECRETS:  WOMEN PERFORMANCE ARTISTS SPEAK OUT on Thursday, November 28 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. The Documentary film showcases women performance artists--how they work and how they view the world.  Featuring performances and interviews with Laurie Anderson, Diamanda Galas, Holly Hughes, Suzanne Lacy, Rachel Rosenthal, Carolee Schneeman and more! A Discussion with Guest Artist Margaret Dragu and RAG Curator Nan Capogna to follow the screening. The screening will be held in the Richmond Cultural Centre Performance Hall, 7700 Minoru Gate, Richmond, BC. Admission is $5.00  and the film is free for Gallery members.
The film is rated PG - For ages 13 and older.
