Please note that the deadline to apply for treatment services is October 15, 2013.

CCI offers conservation treatment services<http://www.cci-icc.gc.ca/ourservices-nosservices/typesservices/constreat-constratie-eng.aspx> to Canadian museums, archives and historic sites. These include treatments to prevent further deterioration, aid interpretation, or re-establish culturally significant qualities, and can range from minimal stabilization to complete conservation treatments.

Applications for treatment services<http://forms-formulaires.cci-icc.gc.ca/index-eng.aspx?formid=4> are reviewed once a year and October 15, 2013 is the submission deadline this year.

The following types of artifacts will be considered for treatment:

 *   Textile
 * Paper (photos, archival materials and books)
 *   Archaeological
 * Historic, Cultural, Religious and Aboriginal

While the selection of objects for treatment is always based on CCI's assessment criteria<http://www.cci-icc.gc.ca/ourservices-nosservices/criter-eng.aspx>, we encourage you to consider submitting requests for objects of particular importance to your communities that may be linked to key milestones in Canada's history. In preparing your applications, you may want to consider the many significant national anniversaries that will be celebrated in the next few years, including events such as:

 * the Centennial of the first Canadian scientific expedition to the Arctic (1913-18)
 * the 150th anniversary of the Charlottetown and Quebec Conferences (2014)
 * significant events related to the First and Second World Wars
 *   the bicentennial of Sir John A. Macdonald's birth (January 10, 2015)
 * the 175th anniversary of the birth of Sir Wilfrid Laurier (November 20, 2016)
 * the 100th anniversaries celebrating women's suffrage and allowing women to vote for the first time (2016)
 *   the 150th anniversary of Confederation (2017)
 * the Centennial of the Battles of Vimy Ridge and Passchendaele (2017)
 * the Centennial of the National Hockey League (2017)
 * the 50th anniversary of the Canada Games (2017)
 * the 75th anniversary of the Dieppe Raid (2017)

Canadian museums, archives and historic sites open to the public generally do not pay for treatment costs, unless these are deemed to be extraordinary. Clients are responsible for all costs of transporting objects to and from CCI, including adequate crating, shipping and insurance.

Please note that missing information can disqualify an application. For this reason, we encourage you to submit your requests as soon as possible for a preliminary review. This will allow time to add missing information, if required.

If you require assistance in preparing your application for textile, object (including archaeological, historic, cultural, religious or Aboriginal), or paper treatments, please contact Elisabeth Joy<mailto:elisabeth.joy at pch.gc.ca>.

Again, please note that the deadline for submissions is October 15, 2013.
