Overview for the Manager of Heritage Services
The Friends of Fort Steele are currently seeking a Manager of Heritage
Services for our Curatorial Department. This is a full position and we
offer a competitive compensation package. The Manager of Heritage Services
is responsible for the interpretive services, curatorial services, and
supervisory services of the curatorial department for Fort Steele Heritage
Town. This position will play a direct role in planning and programming
interpretation of the site in cooperation with other managers in a team
based environment. Duties and responsibilities will always reflect Fort
Steele’s primary mandate as a living history site and include the care,
preservation, and interpretation of artifacts and buildings in accordance
with museological standards. The Manager of Heritage Services will report
directly to the General Manager.
