[BCMA] Canadian Heritage's Museums Assistance Program deadline is November 1, 2013

UPCOMING FUNDING APPLICATION DEADLINE - November 1, 2013

The Department of Canadian Heritage's Museums Assistance Program (MAP)
provides financial assistance to Canadian museums and related institutions
undertaking projects in four areas:
      development and circulation of travelling exhibitions
      preservation and presentation of Aboriginal cultural heritage
      implementation of key collections management systems
      sharing best practices related to key museum functions to the benefit
      of multiple institutions

The 2014-15 Guidelines are now available at www.pch.gc.ca/eng/1268597502197
for projects starting after April 1, 2014.  Applications must be postmarked
on or before November 1, 2013.  *Please note our new mailing address.*

Please read the guidelines carefully, especially the "What's New" section.
Highlights include:
      Priority will be given to projects that relate to key events, people
      and objects that have shaped Canada's history and identity and have
      significant anniversaries in the next two years, such as
      Confederation, World War l, Women's Suffrage, and World War ll.
      Applications will be accepted year-round from large and small museums
      for funding to borrow artefact(s) from the Canadian Museum of
      Civilization and the Canadian War Museum.
      Travelling exhibitions no longer have to come from or go beyond the
      originating province/territory.
