[BCMA] Police Force Hat

Niagara Regional Police have a red band on their caps. I can remember my face being as red as the band was when I got a speeding ticket from one of them about 10 years ago

Subject: [BCMA] Police Force Hat

Hello everyone.  I have attached a picture of an item without an accession number that we found while doing inventory in our collection.  It is a navy blue hat with a red band and a silver button on each temple that says "Police Force" with a crown symbol in the centre.  Can anyone help me identify this item and perhaps give an era?  Any additional information you might have for me would be helpful as I have little.  What I do know from contacting the Vancouver Police Museum is: "it is NOT a VPD hat.  It also doesn't seem to be an RCMP hat, as their button logo is a buffalo.  It's probably not a New Westminster Police or Victoria hat either, as their band is blue and checkered respectively.  It's definitely a Policing organization within the commonwealth."  Any ideas?
