We continue with our four part lecture series on the Dunsmuirs that
began with last year's presentation by Professor Raymond Dumett of
Purdue University.

Join us on Friday, November 22nd for the 2013 lecture to be delivered
by Dr. Charles Maier on daughters Jessie Sophia and Henrietta Maud
Dunsmuir's marriages in the broader context of Belle Epoque
Anglo-North American aristocratic matchmaking.

Lifetime Membership

This past summer at our Annual General Meeting, The Castle Society
inducted a new member into our honourary category of Life Membership
to long-serving member of the Board, David Hambleton.  Lifetime
Membership is awarded to those individuals who have contributed an
exceptional amount of time and effort to the Castle Society.

Work on the Veranda

Ahh, the pitter-patter of tiny feet on the rooftop... . No, wait a
minute, those aren't tiny feet those are big raindrops. And they're
falling on the verandah deck!

With cooler days fast approaching, the last thing we needed on the
unprotected concrete deck surface was rain. But rain we got, and lots
of it.

Learn about what the Castle Society has been doing to protect and
conserve the first floor veranda.
