Subject: Volunteers wanted!: MCN 2013 Conference in Montreal
Date: Tue, 10 Sep 2013 05:51:36 -0700
Hello,
My name is Elizabeth Bollwerk. I am the volunteer coordinator for the
Museum Computer Network (MCN) conference, which will be held in Montreal
this year from Nov 20-23 at the Hyatt Regency Montreal Centre-Ville.
The MCN conference is organized and attended by museum technologists.
The conference is open to everyone interested in the field of museum
technology and digital media: students, emerging and seasoned
professionals, as well as nonprofit organizations (e.g. museums,
heritage sites, historic homes...), and corporations.
I was hoping you could pass along information about volunteering at the
conference to your Association's list servs. We usually have about
15-20 volunteers who work shifts starting on Tuesday, November 19th
through Saturday, November 23rd. Shifts are 4-8 hours, and for each
shift the volunteer gets one day of the conference free. Volunteers can
also attend more than one day of the conference for free if they serve
multiple shifts. It is a great opportunity for students and emerging
professionals to attend the conference.
