The Kelowna Art Gallery is looking to hire a summer student to teach art camps to children during our summer Art Adventures program. The Kelowna Art Gallery Art Adventures program has been running for over twenty years, and is one of the most popular summer programs in Kelowna. Each year we offer over twelve camps for children ages 4 to 18, and we offer free off-site art activities at local festivals and events.

This position is open to College or University students who are enrolled in a fine arts or teaching program, or have had previous experience organizing summer camps. The Art Adventures Supervisor will be responsible for creating, organizing and teaching the art activities for the duration of the summer.

Applicants must have experience working with children, be patient, creative, self-motivated and work well with a team. They must also have some knowledge of various art materials and techniques.

Training will be provided on gallery procedures, classroom management, and working with various age groups.
