Next week is Heritage Week (February 17th to February 23rd) and the Kelowna Museums has a great line up of events for the whole family to enjoy.

Conservation Workshop - Tuesday, February 18th, 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm & 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Do you have a precious paper item that you would like to preserve? Join Kelowna Museum’s Curator of Collections for a Conservation Workshop and make a preservation pocket for your memories.
Registration is a must. Suggested donation $3.

Join Peter Ord, Manager/Curator of Penticton Museum for a talk Heritage Week themed talk at the Okanagan Heritage Museum (http://kelownamuseums.us4.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=b55c3f6adc9aed6b9ca30b608&id=2fe6e1ecc3&e=abfa3161a1) . Ord will explore the 12,000-year history of the valley through the simple but powerful composition of water, in all its forms. Peter has been Manager/Curator of the Penticton Museum since 2005. He received a Masters in Social Anthropology and Archaeology from Edinburgh University in 1996 and was a cultural resource consultant in Vancouver, Vancouver Island and Okanagan before joining the museum.

The Lunchbox Lecture Series is a collaboration between the Kelowna Museums, Kelowna Art Gallery, the Rotary Centre for the Arts and the Okanagan Regional Library, Kelowna Branch. Each Wednesday, from noon to 1 pm, a different guest speaker will present at one of these locations. Provincial Wonder - Saturday February 22nd, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
Kelowna Museums has been invited to take part in a provincial activity spearheaded by the Royal BC Museum (http://kelownamuseums.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b55c3f6adc9aed6b9ca30b608&id=246efb5d5f&e=abfa3161a1) . On Saturday, February 22nd we invite you to take part in Provincial Wonder and share in a unique experience.
