You all have lots of linen, tablecloths etc in your collections but as
artifacts they require special care and ethically you are limited in how
you may use them. The following are offered FREE (plus postage unless
picked up in Richmond) from my wife's cleaning out her "Hope Chest" and
heirlooms. I only included photos of the first two items so as to keep the
email small.

   1. *Tablecloth - Beige, fine crochet*.t appears to be early 1900s. 66"
x 90" Excellent condition except for a spot about 1/4" (rust stain?)
Suggested for use in an historic house of the early 1900s to mid-1900s
(last century folks). This one can be accepted as a non-artifact and can be
used and abused and eventually discarded if the Director spills red wine
   on it.
   2. *Napkins. Matching set of 12* *with a classic look. * 19" x 19" Very
formal looking. Appear to be satin and appear to have never been used. . I
said ivory colour but my wife says they have a pink hue. Excellent
condition. Great for a Christmas table setting.
   3. *Small table cloth, Gingham yellow/white.* Hemmed by hand using
cross-stitch. Star design in centre. *N**ever used*. Evocative of
1940s-1960s kitchen dinette suite look. Photos and dimensions available
   upon request.
   4. *Small table cloth, but green and white* hemmed by hand using
cross-stitching (same maker) plus four matching napkins. *Never used*.Photos
   and dimensions available upon request.
   5. *Small tablecloth, never used, blue and white checked linen with
large white duck in each corner.* Evocative of the 1950s-1960s. Photos
   and dimensions available upon request.
   6. *Small tablecloth, Dutch design "Delft" blue and white* *Never
used *Photos
   and dimensions available upon request.
   7. *Boxed set of silver plated silverware. *Table knives, forks, various
spoons etc. Made by Rogers. Excellent condition, *appear unused*.
Caveat: Have some silver polish and know how to use it! Haggerty's
recommended not Silvo or "dip". Photos and dimensions available upon
   request.
   8. *Fur coat, woman's,* medium size. Excellent "as new" condition.
(Sorry Miley Cyrus, you are not eligible as you do not live in Canada) "M.
Hurtig & Son Winnipeg" My wife even has the original sales receipt (now in
coat pocket) dated Jan 1965 in Winnipeg. "North American Muskrat
centre-back Coat dyed Laurentian mink shade. Storm cuffs. " It is heavy.
   Original cost was $377.00

They are offered first to museums, but if no museums want them they will be
available to individuals.
# 3, 4, & 5 would be great for a log cabin or picnic table.

Museums will automatically bump to the tops of the lists, ranked in the
order that the messages are received. Decisions will be made a week from
now.
