Celebrate summer with Trethewey in Wonderland!

 

The MSA Museum Society and Optimist Club cordially invite you and the family
to their midsummer event, Trethewey in Wonderland. Taking place on Saturday
June 14, 2014, this fair is geared for fun with the whole family. The
beautiful scenery of Trethewey House Heritage Site will guide you down the
rabbit hole, from 12pm - 4pm.

 

All ages are sure to have a blast in Wonderland. For the little ones, bouncy
castles, art and activities will be sure to get a smile as big as the
Cheshire cat. There will also be light refreshments and entertainment to
ensure no one becomes the resident Mad Hatter. The official reopening of the
train station on our site is also a key feature of the day.

 

Please join the MSA Museum Society and the Optimist Club as they celebrate
this midsummer fair's ninth unbirthday. This event is free and open to all
who are curious enough to follow the white rabbit.

 

About the MSA Museum Society and Trethewey House Heritage Site

 

The MSA Museum Society is a not-for profit, created in 1969. With a mission
to promote and protect local heritage, the society continues to work for the
community today. Through the curation of both artifacts and archives, the
society has continued to grow over the years. Trethewey House Heritage site
was obtained in 1983. As an example of 1920s Arts and Crafts architecture
and style, it was also owned by one of the most prominent lumber families in
the Fraser Valley, the Tretheweys. Through this, the house is also a conduit
for local historical interpretation through the use of meaningful artifacts,
as well as live tours for supplementary information.
