[BCMA] Date correction in - PSA: Special events happening at Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Ligthouse NHS this July

Good morning,
Here are the planned special events at Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard
Lighthouse National Historic Sites for the month of July 2017 with
correction of dates in red.

Canada Day Celebrations – Tuesday July 1
Canada Day’s biggest birthday cake is always served at Fort Rodd Hill and
Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites. Come celebrate Canada’s special
day and join the excitement.
Canada Day celebrations for the Western Communities will be held on the
grounds of Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00
p.m.  Join us for a 21 gun salute, a giant birthday cake and children’s
activities.  Children can pick-up a copy of the Xplorer activity booklet
and obtain a reward after completion.
Free shuttle bus service from Juan de Fuca park-and-ride to Fort Rodd Hill.
Admission and a piece of the giant cake are FREE on July 1. No pets

SCHEDULE:
- 10:30am to 3:30pm – WWII Rationing Demo at the Canteen
- 11:00am to 3:30pm – Children’s game and activities
- 11:30am to noon and 12:30pm to 1:15pm – Performance by the 5th (B.C.)
Regiment of RCA
- 12:00pm to 12:05pm - Guns of the 5th (BC) Field Regiment, RCA fire 21 Gun
Salute - Be prepared for the very cool and loud bang!!!
- 12:15pm to 1pm – Birthday Cake served
- 1:30pm to 2:15pm – Live entertainment
- 4:00pm – Closing Announcement.

11th Annual Vintage Cadillac Car Show – Sunday July 13
Join the Vancouver Island Chapter of the Cadillac Car Club of B.C. for
Canada’s largest Cadillac show! With close to a hundred cars, the show
offers every variety of this luxury marque: the sleek roadsters of the
´30s, the ´50s classics (all pastels, fins and chrome), ambulances,
hearses, custom jobs, low-riders, and cutting-edge current models.

Art and Wine Festival at Fort Rodd Hill NHS – Sunday July 27
The Colwood Rotary Club presents a new festival featuring local arts and
wines. Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site is happy to welcome this
community group and their fundraising initiative to build a new
playground—combining the latest in children's park equipment, features for
children with disabilities and a wheel chair accessible surfacing—at
Westshore Parks and Recreation.
Over 25 artists will be displaying their paintings, sculptures, ceramics,
jewelries and much more.
Local wineries will also be present; giving visitors an opportunity to
taste a diverse selection of British Columbian wines and discover what is
unique about them.
