The North Vancouver Museum and Archives will be holding a workshop for its staff covering the hazards of lead, asbestos, and mold, as well as how to identify and handle objects containing these materials. Someone from the British Columbia Municipal Safety Association will be doing the presentation, and they will customize the workshop for museum needs based on examples from the NVMA collection. We have an additional 6 spaces at the workshop available to other members of the museum community in the Vancouver area who may want to join.

It will be held on Thursday April 24th at 9.30am, at the Community History Centre in North Vancouver, and will run for about 4 hours. The cost is $75 per person. If you are interested in signing up for one of the remaining 6 spots, please email me at desmaraisl at dnv.org<mailto:desmaraisl at dnv.org>. I will register people on a first come first serve basis, and can send you more details once you are signed up. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Luc Desmarais | Collection Coordinator
North Vancouver Museum and Archives
