Art Battle
Thursday, May 15, 7:00 to 9:00 pm

Inspired by the current exhibition Unreal, on Thursday May 15 the Kamloops Art Gallery will transform their studios into a Surreal battleground. Local musician Rònan McGrath will set the mood while costumed contestants of all ages take turns climbing onstage to battle one-on-one in a blind-folded painting contest.

Participants will be judged on their costume, their on-stage performance and their ability to depict a randomly selected subject in 60 seconds or less while blind-folded. The winner will be awarded a solo show in the BMO Open Gallery from April to June 2015.

No pre-registration or experience is required for this free event. Dust off your giant papièr-mâché helmets and join us in our Tricia Sellmer and Ken Lepin studios for an evening of Surreal silliness.
