[BCMA] Antique desks for sale - circa 1950s

Hello, 

As per suggestion from Theresa Mackay, I am forwarding this email to all
members of BC Museums Association in hopes a finding a 'home' for my antique
desks.

 

As shown in attached pics - 3 antique desks made of oak wood, and have been
shellacked with a light honey-colour stain.

The frames are metal and the seats and desktops are made of wood, all one
piece - desktop and seat connected (see attached pics).

 

Desktop = 22"L X 15"W x 25"H with single storage compartment - metal.

 

Inkwell = 2"diameter

Pencil groove = 12"L

 

Seat = 17"L x 12"W x 14"H

 

Backrest = 17"W x 28"H

 

Total length = 34"

 

My parents purchased the desks in 1973 from Marlborough Elementary School
located at Marlborough Avenue and Sanders Street in Burnaby, B.C.

We lived across the street from this school, and my sister attended
Kindergarten there. 

These desks are likely from the 1950s.

They are in very good condition, a bit of oxidation on the metal runners.

I am asking $150 each. Buyer will need to arrange pick-up. I am located in
Surrey, BC.
