Hello everyone,
I am currently working on my Masters in Museum Studies, and as part of
my research I am conducting a survey of Earthquake Damage Mitigation in
BC Museums.
The survey is very short, and I would appreciate it if a staff member
from as many museums or other heritage and cultural institutions in
British Columbia as possible would fill it out.
The link to the survey will follow the brief description.
Thank you very much,
Cait Pilon

According to Natural Resources Canada, the province of British Columbia
is one of the most seismically active regions in Canada -- experiencing
around 400 earthquakes every year. While the majority of earthquakes
cause little damage, earthquakes large enough to cause structural
damage can occur.
The purpose of this survey is to get BC Museums thinking about
earthquake risk, to encourage the sharing of ideas and strategies for
mitigating damage caused by seismic activity, and to analyse our
current state of emergency preparedness in collections storage.

I've invited you to fill out the form Survey of Earthquake Damage
