[BCMA] Species at Risk in Kelowna!

Calling all nature lovers!

British Columbia is known for its spectacular nature but there is little awareness of the many species under threat. Species at Risk is a fun and illuminating mobile museum housed in an inventively re-made trailer and accompanied by skilled and personable interpreters from the Royal BC Museum<http://royalbcmuseum.bc.ca/> and the Robert Bateman Centre<http://batemancentre.org/>.

Kelowna Museums is happy to be hosting this new travelling exhibition coming to Kelowna August 24th to 28th. Species at Risk looks at why certain species are in danger, what their loss could mean and how you can help.

Exhibit Locations:

Monday August 24, 10 am - 5 pm
Laurel Packinghouse
Join us at 10am to welcome Species at Risk: A travelling exhibition from the Royal BC Museum. MLA Steve Thomson and Krystal Lezard will welcome our visitors, and a very special look at the exhibit will be presented by Dr. Scott Cooper of the Royal BC Museum.

At 11am, young naturalist Logan Lalonde will guide us through the Rotary Marsh to explore an ecosystem at risk.
