[BCMA] Survivor 101 - Upcoming Workshops

I have been in contact with organizers and have been told that these Workshops are open to non-arts organizations, as well.

Museums included !    And $20. is an affordable registration fee for those seeking knowledge and networking opportunities !

Registration for the upcoming 2015 Survivor 101 workshops is now open.  Please note that in response to many of your requests we are holding these sessions on Saturday afternoons.

Back by popular demand is the Board Development workshop delivered by Vantage Point. It is now titled Board Fundamentals and it is the same program - with some refinements - that was offered in Vancouver in the Spring session last year.

[Board Fundamentals: Roles & Responsibilities]

Engage your board and align their work with organizational values and vision. Formerly known as Board Basics this workshop focuses on Board members' key responsibilities and moves boards out of operations and into the "big picture".

[Amping Up Volunteer Engagement: Seeking & Keeping Talent]

Don't risk losing or missing out on potential volunteers - keep your volunteers engaged and have opportunities for them to grow.  Learn strategies and lessons in this session that will focus on what it takes to build a robust volunteer program from some great organizations and events - large and small. In this session, the participants are encouraged to share any burning questions they might want addressed during the discussion and through the presentations.
