Heritage Week 2015: Main Street, At the Heart of the Community
Come to the Westside and celebrate Heritage Week by attending the following
events:

Tuesday, February 17th: Heritage Week “Bannock and Tea” hosted by the
Sncəwips Heritage Museum
Location: Sənsísyustən House of Learning Multi-Purpose Room
     1920 Quail Lane, Westbank
      Time:  1:30 – 4:00pm

The Sncəwips Heritage Museum’s “Bannock and Tea” is an open to the public
event focused on creating a space for all community members to interact
with one another, share stories and traditional foods in order to create a
better sense of an inclusive community. This event is centred in what is
quickly being redeveloped as WFN’s “main street” as a site for the people
to learn, grow, and interact. Besides the sharing of stories from all
perspectives, the Sncəwips Heritage Museum will also be showcasing some of
the videos that have been created that provide an excellent sense of
history from both personal and community perspectives.

Wednesday, February 18th: That’s SWAC: Introducing the Suk’ʷtəmsqilxʷ West
Kelowna Arts Council
Heritage Week Luncheon hosted by the Greater Westside Board of Trade
Location: The Cove Lakeside Resort
                4205 Gellatly Road, West Kelowna
Time: 11:30am Networking
12:00–12:40pm Lunch
12:40 – 1:10pm Presentation

Here is a great opportunity for the greater public and business community
to have lunch on the Westside and be introduced to our newest community
Arts Council: The Suk’ʷtəmsqilxʷ West Kelowna Arts Council (SWAC). Learn
about SWAC and how artist and business relationships can be elevated and
work together to create a truly dynamic environment for all Westside
residents and visitors.

Thursday, February 19th: Heritage Week Business After Hours
Location: Westbank Museum

Time: 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Cost: $10 per person (free for members of the Greater Westside Board of
Trade)
