It is with great excitement that the Gold Rush Trail Project invites you to a regional workshop focused on growing the tourism potential for businesses and communities along the Gold Rush Trail.

The purpose of these hands-on workshops is to help tourism businesses, heritage tourism operators and communities identify visitor types and expectations, learn how to create memorable visitor experiences and work cooperatively to leverage opportunities. The facilitator, Dr. Nancy Arsenault of the Tourism Café Canada, has worked with communities and businesses all across the country, managed a federal heritage site, and will bring new insights about the traveller. She'll share examples of successful heritage tourism operations in other jurisdictions and challenge you to think about new ways to generate new revenue, attract your 'ideal guest' and discover the value of strategic partnerships within and between communities and businesses.

Thank you to our partners in tourism! The Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association, Heritage Branch and Destination BC have partnered to make this workshop series possible. New Pathways to Gold Society has sponsored luncheon and beverages, the communities of Lillooet and 100 Mile House, Yale Historic Site and Historic Cottonwood House have contributed the meeting facilities. Due to these generous contributions we are pleased to be able offer these workshops free of charge.
