[BCMA] CMA Awards deadline is fast approaching!

The distinguished Canadian Museums Awards Program provides an occasion to
celebrate the excellence and recognize exceptional achievements in
museological practice in our country’s museums and galleries.  Please note
that the Thomson Young Curators award comes with funding for a paid
internship.
The Canadian Museums Awards Program includes:
*	 <http://museums.in1touch.org/site/award_aoa> The Awards of
Outstanding Achievement recognize exceptional museum projects in seven
categories, such as exhibitions, research, conservation, new media and many
more.
*	 <http://museums.in1touch.org/site/award_ads> The Award of
Distinguished Service recognizes significant contributions by individuals to
the Canadian museum sector throughout the course of their careers.
*	 <http://museums.in1touch.org/site/award_fellows> The Fellows of the
CMA recognize individuals who have shown dedication to supporting the work
of the CMA throughout the course of their careers.
*	 <http://museums.in1touch.org/site/award_bta> The Barbara A. Tyler
Award in Museum Leadership recognizes excellence in museum leadership within
the Canadian museum community.
*	 <http://museums.in1touch.org/site/award_sty> Dr. Shirley L. Thomson
Young Curators Award provides internships for young graduates that enhance
learning experiences for curatorial careers in the visual arts.
The CMA also presents three awards in partnership with other organizations:
*	The  <http://museums.in1touch.org/site/award_ggha> Governor
General's History Award for Excellence in Museums: History Alive! recognizes
excellence and innovation in the public programming of museums and related
heritage institutions. This award is presented by the Canadian Museums
Association in partnership with Canada's History Society.
*	 <http://museums.in1touch.org/site/award_icom> ICOM Canada's
International Achievement Award honours a Canadian museum professional or
organization that has demonstrated and promoted excellence in Canadian
museology on an international scale.
*	 <http://museums.in1touch.org/site/award_mva> The Museum Volunteer
Award recognizes individuals or groups who generously volunteer their time
and commitment to a museum or related heritage institution for several
years. This award is a collaboration between the Canadian Museums
Association and the Canadian Federation of Friends of Museums (CFFM).
Deadline
The deadline for applications and nominations for all awards is November 15
each year, with the exception of the History Alive! Award.
