Au cours de la dernière année, Bibliothèque et Archives Canada (BAC) s’est engagée à accroître la collaboration, à offrir à la clientèle des services plus complets et à se donner une plus grande visibilité,  de même qu’au patrimoine documentaire canadien en général. Dans cet esprit, BAC cherche à renforcer et à redéfinir ses activités en cours à Halifax et à Vancouver en tirant parti d’ententes de co-localisation mutuellement avantageuses conclues avec des institutions de mémoire locales. L’objectif de BAC consiste à maximiser les services regroupés, l’expertise et son impact sur le public en mettant davantage l’accent sur la programmation, la sensibilisation et l’interaction avec le public.

BAC amorcera des discussions approfondies avec des organisations intéressées au cours des prochains mois afin de définir les exigences et les éléments clés d’une telle collaboration. Veuillez consulter le document d’information ci-joint pour obtenir de plus amples renseignements sur l’initiative. During the past year, Library and Archives Canada (LAC) has committed itself to increased collaboration, more comprehensive client service, and better visibility for itself and Canadian documentary heritage generally. In that spirit, LAC is seeking to strengthen and redefine its existing operations in Halifax and Vancouver through mutually-beneficial co-location arrangements with local memory institutions. LAC’s objective is to maximize combined service, expertise and public impact through an enhanced focus on programming, outreach and public interaction.

LAC will be engaging in detailed discussions with interested organizations over the next few months to define the key elements and requirements of such a collaboration. Please see the attached background document for more information on the initiative. To indicate your interest, please complete the attached questionnaire and return it to LAC no later than November 27, 2015.
