VPAG Exposed!

What: Annual Members' Exhibition and Fundraiser Opening Reception
Where: Vernon Public Art Gallery, 3228 31st Ave. Vernon, BC
When: Thursday November 12, 2015, 6 - 8 p.m.

The Board of Directors and Executive Director Dauna Kennedy Grant, invite you and a guest to the opening reception of the annual member's exhibition Exposed! Enjoy an evening of contemporary at the Vernon Public Art Gallery.

The exhibition contains two and three dimensional works of art of modest sizes and is a celebration of creativity and local artists. The artwork will be available for purchase and part proceeds support ongoing exhibitions and programming at the Vernon Public Art Gallery.  This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to support local artists and the Vernon Public Art Gallery while finding unique original artworks to add to your collection.

The ambiguous title Exposed! is open to interpretation.  Artists are free to use the medium of their choice for their artwork, which adds a lovely variety of pieces to the show.

The exhibition is also a fundraiser for the Gallery. All the art is available for purchase and proceeds support the artist(s) who created the work, with a small percentage going back to support the Gallery. Because the works of art are of a modest size, the prices are reasonable and a great opportunity for art lovers to own or gift an original piece of art.

"VPAG looks forward each year to showcasing member's artworks in this exhibition.  The public can look forward to a wide array of artistic expression and execution, as artists explore the theme of this show, Exposed!"

The opening reception of Exposed! will be at the Vernon Public Art Gallery, 3228 31st Ave, located underneath the Downtown Vernon Parkade, on Thursday, November 12th from  6:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Don't miss your chance to get first pick of the artwork up for sale!  Join us for an evening of  live music by Marv Machura, art, food, Okanagan Springs Brewery beer, Grey Monk red and white wine and fruit punch!  Enjoy a fabulous spread of crisp crudités, cured European meats, artisan cheeses and breads.

 Exposed! will be on display at the gallery until Tuesday December 23, 2015. Admission to the Gallery is by donation, this is an all-ages event, locals and families are encouraged to join us in celebrating local Okanagan art.
