[BCMA] Lattimer Gallery Job Posting

After thirty years at our popular location in Vancouver, near Granville
Island, Lattimer Gallery is expanding. We are opening a second location at
Vancouver International Airport this December - Lattimer Gallery YVR - and
are very excited to be representing Northwest Coast First Nations art and
culture on an international level. Our airport location will reflect
Lattimer Gallery's current standards by including artist biographies with
every item sold, participating in Aboriginal Tourism BC's Authentic
Indigenous program, and promoting hand-made items over manufactured items.
Located right beside Bill Reid's iconic Spirit of Haida Gwaii, Lattimer
Gallery YVR will enable visitors to purchase last minute souvenirs and will
provide our existing customers with the convenience of a Richmond location.

 

We have two positions available for this new location, for a December start:

 

 

Description:

 

Two part-time gallery sales assistant positions in a retail setting
specializing in Northwest Coast Native art and jewellery. Duties will focus
on customer service, display, and gallery maintenance. We invite
self-motivated individuals with a strong desire to work in a team-oriented
environment to apply.

 

Qualifications:

 

.           Knowledge and general interest in Northwest Coast Native Art and
Culture

.           Strong retail background

.           Excellent customer service and communication skills

.           Ability to multi-task in a changing gallery environment
