Dear Mr. Cullen,
I will certainly take a look at what he does and see if he might be
interested in assisting with something of this nature. Thank you for the
suggestion.
Yours, Pamela Woolner

Hi, I might add that Peter Boland does an excellent and substantial survey
of non-profit organization compensation and he may be interested in
broadening the number of roles surveyed. His website is

Hi Pam,
One potential source of information is the Revenue Canada Charities Page as
all registered charities must provide financial information, including
salary ranges (this would miss some of the museums that are departments
within municipalities)

Listings - Canada Revenue Agency
www.cra-arc.gc.ca <http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca>
A search tool for donors and charities used to find registered or revoked
charities and their annual information returns, which include finances and
activities.
See the compensation section.
Not as detailed as you would like, but will give you some details. You
might have to do a few searches using museum, heritage, historical to find
them all.
Cheers

Subject: [BCMA] Staffing questions
Hello everyone,
I have been asked to gather some data about staff wages and benefits from
other organizations in the Province of BC that are similar to ours. If you
operate a museum with a budget between$100,00 and $175,000 and have 1 or 2
permanent staff could you please answer the following questions? It
shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes but would mean a lot to me!
1. How much is your annual budget?
2. Are you a not-for-profit or government affiliated organization?
a. If not-for-profit where does the majority of your funding come
from?
3. How many permanent, year round staff do you employ and what are
their titles? (Please note if they don't work a 35 hour work week)
4. How much does each position earn annually?
5. Do you have any benefits? If so what do they cover and how much
does it cost the organization?
6. Do or can staff earn bonuses?
Thank you!
Yours, Pamela Woolner
