Hi Cass,

British Columbia has laws against public bodies storing data outside of
Canada, but you are not a public body so there is no hurdle to using
international cloud storage. We use Google. You can find more info here:

- How important are the visual arts in our society? I feel strongly that
the visual arts are of vast and incalculable importance. Of course I could
be prejudiced. I am a visual art.

Hello,

The Port Coquitlam Heritage and Cultural Society (PoCo Heritage) is
interested in exploring options for using cloud storage to store our
records, digital catalogue, etc.

We are wondering whether we are required to use a Canadian cloud storage
provider or if we can use an international provider (Google, iCloud,
etc.). Specifically, we are wondering whether we might jeopardize grant
and other funding eligibility by using an international provider, or if
other issues may arise if we go the international route.

If anyone has experience with or information about this, please contact me
directly at cassandras at pocoheritage.org.

Sincerely,

Cass Sclauzero
Administrative Assistant
