The Quesnel & District Museum and Archives has two positions available for summer students who qualify for the Young Canada Works program.

The Curatorial Assistant will have the opportunity to contribute to a number of ongoing projects which will provide the student with an understanding of a broad range of museum operations including collections registration, arrangement and description of archival fonds, exhibit development, recording oral histories and the digitizing a photograph collection.

The Education and Events Co-ordinator assists with the delivery of education programs and outreach activities during community festivals. The co-ordinator will be responsible for developing materials for a new education program to be implemented in 2016/17 and an á la carte menu of activities available for pre-booked children's groups and birthday parties. He or she will also prepare promotional material and social media content.

Both students assist with daily operations (visitor reception, gift shop sales, research requests, exhibit maintenance, special events) and have the opportunity to select an individual project.
