Museum of the Cariboo Chilcotin

 

Summer Museum Assistant

 

Museum of the Cariboo Chilcotin is seeking a student to complete a
curatorial project and assist with daily operations.

 

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in and returning to full-time post-secondary studies; 

Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or have refugee status in Canada
between 15 and 30 years old;

Preference will be given to those enrolled a related field, such as History,
First Nations Studies, Cultural Resource Management, Anthropology or
Communication Studies.

 

Skill Requirements:

Interest in learning local history;

Efficient computer skills including Access database;

Excellent research, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;

Knowledge of photography and its equipment;

Flexible, resourceful, able to work independently within workplace
guidelines.

 

Term: Seasonal full-time, for up to 16 weeks between May 10 and August 27,
2016.


Wage: $13.50/hour.
