Vancouver's Festival for Professional Emerging Artists

Calling all professional emerging artists! Do you have 2-3 years of experience in the performing arts? Are you juggling work with trying to get your start as an artist? If so, you should apply to the 4th Annual Festival LAUNCH!, presented by SFU Woodward's and the 149 Arts Society
Application deadline: Tuesday May 24th 2016, 5:00 pm. Submission is free!
Jurors are looking for short, original works of music, theatre, dance, film, & new media. New and innovative work is encouraged! Successful applicants will be paid to perform in a public talent showcase at Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, receive career mentorship, and meet top industry experts for advice on how to grow a career in the arts!
All applicants, whether chosen for the paid showcase or not, are invited to attend a day-long career-building workshops led by industry experts on Saturday, June 18th, focusing on: how to survive in the arts, developing a "plan B' strategy, financial planning, marketing, and building your resume and online profile.
