Tammy;
CFB Chilliwack Historical Society Museum sent my your email, but the image had been corrupted. If you could sent the image directly, I would be happy to take a look and talk to our ammunition people to see what we can find out.

Subject: [BCMA] Ammo box - can anyone help?
Hello, Museum-land people!
Someone just brought this box into my office, asking if I knew anything more about it. Apparently, it is an ammunition box, but I have never seen anything like it so can't help her much. Anyone recognise this? Dimensions are 45cm long x 25 cm deep x 20 cm high; wooden construction with two metal compartments inside. The two metal interior compartments lift out separately, and have a few markings on them - a stamp that looks like a crown with an arrow pointing up at it, and an embossed "GSW 43" on each end. There is a stencilled marking on the lid, just visible in this photo: C.D. 107 probably, though the last digit is hard to read. There's also a metal "9" on the end of the box, that looks like the kind of number you might use to put your street number on your house - that might be a later addition (the box apparently was used as a tool box for quite some time).
