Starting Salary: $58,916 per year

Under the general direction of the Head of Learning, the Learning Program Developers

encourage current and potential audiences to understand and share the story of British Columbia. The Learning Program Developers are responsible for the management, delivery and evaluation of a wide range of formal and informal learning programs.
Along with a degree or diploma in Education, Museum Education, Museum Studies or a combination of education and experience, the ideal candidate has five years' experience working collaboratively to plan, develop and implement on-site learning experiences. You are a creative, forward-thinking and highly motivated individual who will serve as a catalyst for change and growth in the public and family program realm at the Royal British Columbia Museum.
Your experience in the museum, education or cultural sector supports a comprehensive knowledge of current trends in education and museums along with experience in assessing and identifying audience-centred learning needs to support exhibitions, collections, research and outdoor venues. You have demonstrated experience in developing learning strategies, plans and participatory processes along with proven experience in inspiring and empowering volunteers to envision their own potential in providing learning opportunities for our visitors through mentorship and team engagement, including co-development of learning programs with external partners. You readily apply your project management experience while prioritizing your own and others' work assignments.
