Hello, everyone,

Below is another bunch of objects we are removing from our permanent collections. There are quite a few things here that might be of interest to those of you with historic houses to furnish: tables, chairs, and sewing machines; as well as some toys and dolls, and half a dozen whiskey jugs.

Please note we also still have some of the typewriters, Gestetners, etc that we offered before Christmas; let me know if you would like to see those lists again.

These are being offered to other museums on a first-come, first-served basis. Receiving museums are responsible for collecting the objects or paying for shipping from Creston.

Because this is a long, on-going process, we want to move these things out very quickly to make way for the next lot of artifacts. Please let me know by 5 February 2016 if you are interested in any of these objects, so we can make arrangements to get them to you by the end of February.

Hospital bedside table metal with wood laminate top. Storage compartment under top with 2 mirrored lids. Crank for adjusting height of table. Table 80 cm x 38 cm x 79 cm high; storage compartment 33 cm x 27 cm x 5 cm;  lids 33 cm x 17 cm. This table was used in St. Eugene Hospital in Cranbrook until 1958. It was given to Rita Dickson of Yahk who later gave it to Bob and Ethel Vigne.

Plastic doll with blue velvet coat and white sheer dress, blue underdress, white undergarments and stockings; blue velvet hat,  black plastic shoes, fake hair;  stands on its own. 44 cm high. Belonged to Margaret Moore, who won the doll in a draw in 1990 and almost immediately donated it to the Museum. The clothing was donated by Gerry Ostendorf. Was previously catalogued as 2005 but that has been deleted.

Plastic boy doll. Very chubby has a round hat on that has a red ball on top and then is blue and white with a red bottom. he has black hair and brown skin. Red cheeks, lips and nostrils. He has an orangy string tied around his neck. His suit is mostly blue with yellow for the collar and red strips near the end of the sleeves. His buttons are gold. His pants are all blue and his shoes are all black. He is 19 cm in length from bottom of shoes to top of red ball on hat. 4.5 cm wide from start of one shoe to end of other shoe.

Has red cheeks, lips and nostrils and has a big nose and ears. He has a orange string tied around his neck.He is wearing a sailor shirt that is yellow with blue collar and black bow. He has plain blue pants and plain black shoes. he is 17 cm tall from bottom to top of hat. 4 cm from start of one shoe to end of other shoe.

Doll was made for donor in Wales in the early 1970's  and is wearing the traditional Welsh costume.
