This gorgeous lake house highlights the type of homes built by those who settled in the area in the early 1900s.  <http://www.mackiehouse.ca/> Mackie Lake House was built on five acres overlooking Kalamalka Lake in 1910. Today it is an exceptional example of the type of country mansion from this time period. The moment you step into the home, you are transported back to a simpler time when life moved at a slower pace.

Tea with Grace

Capturing the essence of days gone by, imagine Grace Mackie serving you Tea with fine bone china on the verandah overlooking the serene gardens and lake. Kick back and relax in a beautiful setting with your friends, your family and take some time for you. Enjoy a lazy Sunday Afternoon Tea as you savour the ambience of the screened verandah overlooking the serene gardens and Kalamalka Lake. This three course tea will begin with dainty finger sandwiches followed by light fluffy scones accompanied by Devonshire cream and seasonal fruits or jams, and topped off with a delicate dessert .We serve teas that are organic and custom blended especially for Mackie Lake House. Back in Time Tours

Tuesdays through Sept 13 at 11:00 am

Tour this exquisitely crafted 1910 House which is an exceptional example of the types of country mansions from this time period. The interior workmanship makes it one of the best examples of grand house architecture in British Columbia's interior. Learn about the architecture, history and characteristics of this unique home and the families that lived here. For a magical summer evening experience the Music at Mackie Summer Concert Series on Friday August 12 with Brandon Schmor. Brandon developed his technique and signature playing style with inspiration from other artists and the piano itself. His first piano produced a twangy saloon piano tone and this “Honky-Tonk” sound became the foundation of his musical style. Brandon’s performances meld elements of wild Jerry Lee Lewis style boogie, with timeless blues, jazz and classic rock to create a lively show for everyone to enjoy. 

Pack up your favourite picnic supper, bring your lawn chair and enjoy great music, while you dine "al fresco" on the lawns overlooking Kalamalka Lake at the historic Mackie Lake House.  Tickets are $25 and are available at http://www.ticketseller.ca/1221 or call 250-549-7469
