Registration is now open for the AABC's distance education course
"Introduction to Archival Practice".
This course will be of benefit for those volunteering in an archives or
working in heritage societies, libraries, museum, records management, local
government, administration or non-profit institutions. You do not have to
work in an archives to take this course!
Using Laura Millar's award winning publication "Archives: Principles and
Practices", students will learn about archival terminology and theory, the
role of the archivist and archival institutions, how archival records are
treated, copyright and privacy, ethics and electronic records.
*Registration is open June 27 - August 22 *and the *course will run from
September 5 - November 14, 2016*.
Registration costs: $350.00 (CAD) for AABC members; $500.00 (CAD)
non-members plus the cost of the course textbook.
