If you apply for BC Gaming funds, you cannot have a fee for service.

Subject: [BCMA] Seeking information on municipal operating grants

Hello colleagues,
With the upcoming renewal of our local museum and archives agreement, it will be a good opportunity to update it and we would like to find out how other municipalities handle agreements with a non-profit, charitable organization that operates a civic property and/or site. Maple Ridge has a population approx. 80,000 so looking for something similar or next level up to compare. Would you be willing to share with me your current agreement template for a museum and/or archives? Is it a fee for service or an operating grant and the amount? What’s working and anything you wish to change if you could? Certainly I will keep any information confidential. If it’s easier to talk over the phone, I am happy to contact you. My coordinates are ychui at mapleridge.ca and 604.467.7415. I am hoping to gather the research materials by March 31. Thank you so much in advance.

Yvonne Chui, Arts and Community Connections Manager, City of Maple Ridge.
