"Canada's cultural and creative industries are important drivers of
innovation and a vibrant part of our economy. The intersection of culture
and technology holds tremendous potential for our country's growth and
prosperity."
- Minister Joly
On April 23, 2016, the Department of Canadian Heritage launched the first
phase of a consultation process on Canadian Content in a Digital World
<http://canada.pch.gc.ca/eng/1460573328032>.
This pre-consultation phase is designed to get feedback on issues of
importance to Canadians surrounding the creation, discovery and export of
Canadian content in a digital world. As a key member of the Canadian
cultural sector, we are asking you to provide your input by completing the
pre-consultation questionnaire
<http://pch.sondages-surveys.ca/s/dwc/?l=en> . Your feedback will help shape
the next steps of the consultation process.
In the next phase of the consultations, the Minister of Canadian Heritage
will lead an open conversation during which you will have an opportunity to
provide more substantial input.
The pre-consultation questionnaire will be available online until May 20,
2016. For more information about the pre-consultations, please contact us
