Hi Tom,

To best analyze the bottle we would need to get our hands on it and examine
the object in person. However, I have been going through the bottle
analysis questions on this bottle dating link
https://sha.org/bottle/dating.htm#Question%201 on the society of
Archaeological history website.

So far I assume that the bottle dates from between 1870 and 1920, so
slightley before the 1920s.

I went to the "makers marks" section on the website. The "C" makers mark
indicates that the bottle may have been made by:

 Cunningham & Co https://sha.org/bottle/pdffiles/Cunningham.pdf

or by

Chattanooga Glass company
https://sha.org/bottle/pdffiles/ChattanoogaGlass.pdf

The "C" makers mark more closely resembles the chattenooga mark, but the
bottle more closely resembles the pictures from Cunningham &co . Are you
sure it is a "C" and not a "G" ?

These are only guesses and I am not trying to make any definite assertions.
Furthermore, I would be better of analyzing the real bottle.

I hope this was helpful, and please let me know what you find out.

Caity Payette,
Anthropology student, NPC
