[BCMA] Deadline Extension for Roundup's Change Makers

Do you know someone making a difference in the cultural field?

The BC Museums Association is accepting nominations for individuals making
a substantial contribution to BC’s cultural sector for its upcoming issue
of Roundup Magazine. Selected winners will be featured in Roundup’s winter
2016 issue, Change Makers. Change Makers aims to celebrate the sector and
the exceptional and innovative people who make it great.

Nominations are encouraged for individuals of all ages and stages in their
career from across BC who demonstrate innovation, imagination and
advancement in the field. Nominees can represent various sectors including
leadership, education, exhibition design, archives, customer services,
technology, communications or marketing. They can be paid staff or
volunteers.

Criteria:

   -

   Individuals must be currently working or volunteering in the cultural
   sector.
   -

   Individuals who are retired from the cultural sector are eligible.
   -

   Individuals may be from non-profit, private or public sectors


   -

   Businesses, organisations, projects or teams are ineligible. Only
   individuals are eligible.
   -

   Self nominations are admissible.



Winners will be selected from the nominees by the Roundup Magazine
Editorial Committee, a representative sub-committee of the BCMA.
Nominations are encouraged from across BC. A person can nominate more than
one individual. Not all nominations will be selected for publication.
Nominees are not required to be BCMA members.


Application:

   -

   In no more than 500 words, provide specific, concrete examples that
   speak to the nominee’s innovation, advocacy, imagination and advancement
   in the field. Application must demonstrate how their contribution has added
   long or short term value to the field
   -

   If selected, the nominee must chose to accept the nomination and will
   then supply a resume or biography summarising their background and
   contributions.



Nominations must include the attached nomination form and be submitted via
email to jlemke at museumsassn.bc.ca by September 23rd, 2016. Include the
nominator and nominee’s names in the subject line.
