[BCMA] BC Recognizes South Asian Canadian Heritage--CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Hello BCMA members,

I wanted to bring your attention to the recent announcement by Heritage BC to nominate a significant South Asian Canadian Historic place. As you all may know, this was done for the Chinese-Canadian Historic Places Recognition Project in BC as well (http://www.heritagebc.ca/chinese-historic-map).

We encourage any and all museum and archive organizations to think about nominating significant sites around their area pertaining to South Asian history in BC. We will be working from our end to suggest and nominate sites and may be in contact with some of you. Subsequently if anyone would like to contact us for more information or suggestions, please feel free to email me directly.

Please note, the deadline for submissions is: NOVEMBER 6, 2016.
